What Is Botox?

Botox is a purified botulinum toxin that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles — the forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet caused by years of expression. Softening those muscles smooths the overlying skin for a refreshed, well-rested look that still moves naturally.

At Chic Derm & Aesthetics in Allen, TX, every Botox treatment is performed by Faseeha Raza, PA-C, a board-certified Physician Associate, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Raza, MD. Our philosophy is conservative and natural — we treat the muscles that need it, keep your expressions intact, and never over-do it.

  • Natural, never frozenSkilled, conservative dosing that softens lines while keeping your natural expression.
  • FDA-approved neurotoxinsBotox, Dysport, Xeomin, and longer-lasting Daxxify — matched to your goals.
  • Physician-supervised, PA-injectedBoard-certified Physician Associate injector under the oversight of a board-certified MD.

What Botox Can Do

Botox Treatment Areas

Botox is one of the most versatile treatments in aesthetics — smoothing lines, refining features, and even easing everyday concerns like jaw tension and sweating.

Forehead Lines

Soften the horizontal lines across the forehead that deepen with expression, for a smoother, rested look.

Frown Lines (the "11s")

Relax the vertical lines between the brows that can make you look tired, angry, or stern.

Crow's Feet

Smooth the fine lines that fan out from the corners of the eyes when you smile or squint.

Brow Lift & Bunny Lines

Subtly lift and open the eyes with a Botox brow lift, and soften the "bunny" lines on the nose.

Masseter (Jaw Slimming)

Relax the jaw muscles to slim a square jawline and ease teeth-grinding and TMJ tension.

Neck Bands

The "Nefertiti lift" softens vertical neck bands for a smoother, more defined neck and jaw.

Excessive Sweating

Botox for hyperhidrosis dramatically reduces underarm sweating for months at a time.

Chin Smoothing

Relax a dimpled or "pebbled" chin for a smoother, softer lower-face appearance.

The Neurotoxins We Offer

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify

There's more than one great neurotoxin — and the best choice depends on your goals, your muscle movement, and how long you want results to last.

Botox®

The original and most studied neurotoxin — a trusted, precise choice for virtually every treatment area.

Results ~3–4 months

Dysport®

A neurotoxin that can spread a little more, often preferred for larger areas like the forehead.

Results ~3–4 months

Xeomin®

A "pure" neurotoxin with no added proteins — a great option for patients who want a clean formulation.

Results ~3–4 months

Daxxify®

A newer, peptide-powered neurotoxin known for longer-lasting results. Learn about Daxxify →

Results often up to 6 months
Know the Difference

Botox vs. Dermal Filler

They're often confused, but they do opposite jobs. Botox relaxes muscles to soften expression lines; dermal filler adds volume to restore fullness. Many patients use both.

Not sure which you need? Most patients benefit from a combination — Botox to soften expression lines and filler to restore volume. We'll map it out at your consultation.

What is Botox?

Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin used to temporarily relax the facial muscles that create dynamic wrinkles — lines from repeated expressions like frowning and squinting. Softening those muscles smooths forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet for a refreshed, natural look. At Chic Derm & Aesthetics in Allen, TX, it's administered by a board-certified Physician Associate under physician supervision.

How long does Botox last?

Botox typically lasts three to four months. As it wears off, movement returns and you can schedule a maintenance visit. Daxxify, which we also offer, can last longer — often up to six months.

How much does Botox cost in Allen, TX?

Botox is priced per unit, and the total depends on how many units your areas require. At your complimentary consultation we'll recommend a unit count and give you clear, upfront pricing, plus membership savings and CareCredit / Cherry financing. Call 469-466-2727 for current pricing.

Does Botox hurt?

Discomfort is minimal. Botox uses a very fine needle and only a few quick injections; most patients describe a brief pinch. The treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

What areas can Botox treat?

Commonly the forehead, frown lines (the "11s"), and crow's feet. Botox can also do a brow lift, bunny lines, a lip flip, a gummy smile, jaw slimming (masseter), neck bands, chin dimpling, and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

When will I see results, and is there downtime?

You'll start to see results in three to five days, with full results around two weeks. There's no downtime — you can return to your day right away. We'll ask you to avoid rubbing the treated areas and lying flat for a few hours.

What's the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify?

All four are FDA-approved neurotoxins that relax muscles to smooth wrinkles. They differ in formulation, onset, and duration. Dysport and Xeomin are alternatives some patients prefer; Daxxify is known for longer-lasting results. Your provider helps choose the best fit.

Is Botox safe?

Botox is one of the most studied aesthetic treatments and is FDA-approved. Every treatment here is performed by a board-certified Physician Associate under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Raza, MD, using FDA-approved products and strict clinical protocols.

What's the difference between Botox and dermal filler?

Botox relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles like frown lines and crow's feet. Dermal filler adds volume to smooth static lines and restore fullness in the cheeks and lips. They solve different problems and are often combined.

Who performs Botox, and how many units will I need?

Botox is performed by Faseeha Raza, PA-C, a board-certified Physician Associate, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Raza, MD. Your unit count is personalized to your muscle strength and goals and determined at your consultation.
