Botox®

The FDA has approved Botox® for treating moderate to severe lines, such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. With Botox®, we can prevent lines and wrinkles from becoming deeper and more visible as we age. This non-invasive procedure is offered to patients by the experienced dermatology providers in a medical clinic setting with little to no downtime.

Xeomin®

It’s the FDA approved anti-wrinkle treatment that is uniquely purified to remove unnecessary proteins. Xeomin® is a prescription medication injected in the muscles to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows for temporary improvement. Sun exposure, environmental factors, the natural aging process and the repeated movement of facial muscles may contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Botox treatment hurt?

At our facility we always use a gentle numbing cream (BLT) to take away any discomfort you may have during the procedure. It’s a very well tolerated procedure as we use the smallest needle for injection.

How many units are needed for full correction?

Full correction means we are treating the forehead lines, elevens between the eyebrows and crows feet (lateral eyes) area. Typically, each site needs 20 units for results to last 4 months. However, you may need less units if you are a regular botox pt and get injectables every 4 months.

Who Injects at Chic Derm & Aesthetics?

We are a medical and cosmetic dermatology clinic and our PA’s and Physicians evaluate and administer the Botox injections. They specialize in anti-aging non-invasive treatments.

What are the common side effects?

Injection site redness is a common side effect. Our providers review your medical history and educate on what to expect after the treatment.

How soon Botox takes effect?

You may start seeing improvement in fine lines on day 3 after the injection. However, day 14 is when the product settles down and takes full effect. We recommend scheduling a follow up with your provider in two weeks.
