- How does laser hair removal work?
The Alma Soprano ICE removes unwanted hair by targeting the melanin within the hair follicle and heating it up to the point of damage. Once the hair follicle is damaged it will no longer grow hair. - Who is a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Alma Soprano ICE is safe for all skin types. Many early laser technologies for hair removal weren’t appropriatefor all skin tones. However, because of the unique technology behind Alma Soprano, laser hair removal treatments are now safe for everyone. Fitzpatrick skin types 1-6 can enjoy the benefits of laser hair removal and treatments can be
performed any time of the year with the appropriate technology and care in place. - How many laser treatments are required?
The typical laser hair removal patient will need 5-8 treatment sessions, spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart, to target all of the hair follicles in the treatment area. - How long does each treatment take?
The duration of the treatment session will depend on the size of the treatment area. Typically scheduled for 30 minutes for medium areas. (Laser hair could even be performed on the body while numbing the face area before microneedling for example.) - Does it hurt?
Because of Alma laser’s specialized cooling technology, patients feel virtually no pain or discomfort during laser hair removal treatments at Chic Derm. - Who performs the treatments?

What to expect?
Results and number of units needed for your Botox treatment is subjective to the severity of your fine lines. Below are recommendations for moderate to severe frown lines, forehead lines and cows feet.

Frequently Asked Questions
At our facility we always use a gentle numbing cream (BLT) to take away any discomfort you may have during the procedure. It’s a very well tolerated procedure as we use the smallest needle for injection.
Full correction means we are treating the forehead lines, elevens between the eyebrows and crows feet (lateral eyes) area. Typically, each site needs 20 units for results to last 4 months. However, you may need less units if you are a regular botox pt and get injectables every 4 months.
We are a medical and cosmetic dermatology clinic and our PA’s and Physicians evaluate and administer the Botox injections. They specialize in anti-aging non-invasive treatments.
Injection site redness is a common side effect. Our providers review your medical history and educate on what to expect after the treatment.
You may start seeing improvement in fine lines on day 3 after the injection. However, day 14 is when the product settles down and takes full effect. We recommend scheduling a follow up with your provider in two weeks.
